2019 DACE ART GALLERY CONDITIONS OF ENTRY & SALES

  1. Entry forms must be submitted online no later than FRIDAY, 7th June 2019. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If it is not possible to submit an entry online, please request a form and send via mail.

  2. Each Artist may enter a maximum of three (3) exhibits PLUS one (1) optional “Small Works” (30cmH x 30cmW including frame) small format exhibit.

  3. Artworks must be the original work of the Artist.

  4. Diptych/triptych works submitted as one entry must be clearly marked if able to be sold separately, and individual prices must also be included. Each entry must be on the entry form.

  5. No works previously exhibited with DACE will be accepted.

  6. All artwork must be of a durable material, suitably framed or mounted, in dry condition and wired ready to hang. The DACE Exhibition Committee reserves the right to refuse artwork that does not meet these conditions.

  7. Entry fee is $17.00 per piece (non-refundable) for standard entries (limit = 3) and “Small Works” 30x30 entry fee is $12 (non-refundable & limited to 1 (one) “Small Works” 30x30 entry per artist – see cover letter for details). Entry fees are payable once the entry form has been submitted. Cheques should be made payable to Derinya Primary School.

  8. Each painting must be clearly marked on the back with the Name of Artist, Title and Selling Price. UNLABELLED WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

  9. DACE is a major fundraiser for Derinya Primary School and the exhibition is viewed by primary school children of all year levels. Therefore, the DACE committee reserves the right not to display any artwork which is deemed inappropriate to be viewed by primary school children.

  10. The DACE Committee shall retain 25% of the selling value of any exhibit sold, including any orders placed during or as a result of the Exhibition. All proceeds from sales go to the Derinya Primary School Council.

  11. Artists should allow at least 30 days following the Exhibition for payment.

  12. Artists can be assured that our talented DACE Committee shall display their works to their full advantage. The DACE Committee will exercise all possible care in handling the works submitted. Derinya Primary School has supplementary insurance to cover the exhibits whilst in the possession of the DACE Committee; from delivery (13/7/19) until pick-up (21/7/19).

  13. The Artist shall permit multi-media advertising relating to their entries (refer to Permission Clause included with mailed entry forms).

  14. The Judges’ decisions will be final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.

  15. DELIVERIES: All entries must be delivered free of charge to the Derinya Centre, Derinya Primary School, Cnr Overport Road & Derinya Drive, Frankston South on Saturday 13th July between the hours of 1.00pm–5.00pm. LATE DELIVERIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

  16. COLLECTIONS OF UNSOLD WORKS: The Artist or his/her authorised agent must collect any unsold works on Sunday 21st July, 2019 between 5.00pm–6.30pm. Please note that any uncollected work will NOT be covered by our insurance, and no responsibility will be taken by DACE or the school for items not collected by the stated pick-up time.

ON SITE PARKING IS AVAILABLE OUTSIDE THE DERINYA CENTRE.

CRAFT

2019 DACE CRAFT GALLERY CONDITIONS OF ENTRY & SALES

  1. Entry forms must be submitted online no later than FRIDAY, 7th June 2019. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If it is not possible to submit an entry online, please request a form and send via mail. 

  2. An entry fee of $22.00 (non-refundable) is payable with submission of the Entry Form. Cheques should be made payable to Derinya Primary School.  

  3. Craft Exhibitors may enter up to 50 pieces of their original work into the Exhibition. The number of pieces on display by each Craft Exhibitor will correlate with the available space and will be displayed at the discretion of the Craft Gallery Coordinators. 

  4. Acceptance of entries and display of exhibits shall be at the sole discretion of DACE’s Craft Gallery Coordinators, who reserve the right to refuse any entry or to display an exhibit. 

  5. DELIVERY: Delivery is on Saturday 13th July between the hours of 11am – 4pm and Sunday 14th July between the hours of 10am – 2pm. Please deliver entries to the DACE Craft Gallery, Derinya Primary School, cnr Overport Road & Derinya Drive, Frankston South. LATE DELIVERIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 

  6. All exhibits must be individually labelled (with price and code) and a Craft Gallery Inventory Form must be completed and delivered with all entries. UNLABELED WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 

  7. The Craft Exhibitor shall permit multi-media advertising relating to their entries (refer to Permission Clause included with mailed entry forms).

  11. The DACE Committee will exercise all possible care in handling the works submitted. Derinya Primary School has supplementary insurance to cover the exhibits whilst in the possession of the DACE Committee; from delivery (13/7/19) until pick-up (22/7/19).

  14. Only items that have been handmade by the artist will be eligible for the craft awards. The Judges’ decisions will be final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.

JEWELLERY

2019 DACE JEWELLERY GALLERY CONDITIONS OF ENTRY & SALES
